Cosmetic: Screen is in great shape, no scratches. The body is in very good shape with  few minor scratches on the bottom and few very tiny chips on the front bottom edge (see photos)

Performance: Still runs perfectly. 

Battery indicates "Service" because it holds less than 80% of its original charge. Last photo shows that it now has a max capacity of 4037 mAh, which is 61.5% of the original 6559 mAh capacity. In my experience, I still get several hours (3+) unplugged, but you'd need to replace the battery if you wanted it back to full capacity.

Overall this is in great shape and it still runs great. As you can see in the photos, the screen and body are in very good shape. It has a lot of features and ports that are missing in some newer models (sd card reader, HDMI port). I'm selling this only because I rarely use it since upgrading to a newer model. 

I will send this in the original box, with the power brick charger and extension cable (pictured).

Here is what Apple says about the service battery indication:

Service Recommended: The battery's ability to hold charge is less than when it was new, or the battery isn't functioning normally. You can safely continue to use your Mac, but if your battery needs service or its lowered charging capacity is affecting your experience, get your battery evaluated at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple.

Again, as stated above, I find that the battery works fine for my needs, but you'd need to replace the battery if you wanted it back to full capacity.
