[FOR PARTS/NOT WORKING] Apple MacBook Pro 13.3" A1278 2.3GHz i5 8GB RAM 500GB HDD+ DVDRW Drive

MacBook Pro is locked and comes without Power Supply.

Bought used here on eBay and attempted to install a more recent OS, and upon restarting was greeted with the Padlock Screen, or sometimes the Question Mark Folder Screen. I reached out to previous seller in an effort to maybe obtain previous password(s) but alas, never heard anything back.

I've tried swapping out hard drives, resetting NVRAM, booting in recovery mode and a couple other routes of circumnavigating the lock screen but haven't been successful.

Unit is in Good to Very Good Condition cosmetically and very clean, no major dents or dings but definitely some scuffs and scratches throughout and there's a slight dimple on the cover (to the left of the Apple logo when viewed from above). Screen is in fantastic condition, no major scratches or hazing/bubbling. Keyboard and Track Pad are also in great shape, no major wear, no sticky keys.

The Battery has a low cycle count as far as I can recall, and all the inner parts (Hard Drive, RAM, DVDRW, Fan etc) appear to be in great and functional condition. So I think this is a great candidate for Parts or you may be successful in getting around the Lock Screen!
