Rare 17" MacBook Pro - Late 2011

 Description

This is the final evolution of the 17-inch MacBook Pro; more than a decade later, Apple still hasn't made another one this large. I've found an unusually pristine one and loaded it with a lot of new parts to make it more competitive with new workstations.

Cosmetically this is nearly perfect, with only a few very minor scuffs. It looks like it's barely been used and the battery bears this out with only 31 charge cycles on it. It's really strong for a 12-year old battery on a 17" laptop, getting a couple of hours easy although obviously battery life depends on load. Functionally everything is working as it should.

I replaced the original HDD with a much faster 240 GB SSD, and replaced the DVD drive with a 1 TB HDD meant for storage. I also maxed out the RAM to 16 GB, and filled the ExpressCard slot with a flush-fitting USB 3.0 card that provides two more USB ports roughly ten times faster than the stock ones.

Includes original 85W MagSafe adapter. Can't send this to anywhere but Canada and the USA because of restrictions on shipping items with lithium-ion batteries.

 About My Shop

You're looking at an independent, one-person operation. That's why I can take my time testing items and fixing them up. It's how I make sure you get what you need. I'm an oldschool ebay seller with fourteen years of experience, and I stand behind my listings.

Most of my items are secondhand finds. I rescue artifacts from the wild and pair them with people who'll love and take care of them. If you're searching for something you don't see here, let me know. I have a ton of sources.

 How To Pay

I accept payments through Paypal, including credit card payments. If you live in or around Toronto, I can also accept cash and make deliveries in person. If you have questions about alternative payment arrangements, feel free to message me.

 Shipping

The shipping quotes listed are economy and middle-range shipping options. If you're interested in priority courier services, ask me for a custom quote.

I ship everywhere. If eBay's shipping calculator doesn't show a shipping rate for your country, message me and I'll get you one.

I pack very securely in thick cardboard containers, custom-built for each item. Anything even slightly delicate will be secured with shock-absorbent foam. If I'm shipping something that breaks easily, like glassware or a boombox, I'll double-box it with two ridiculously thick layers of padding.

 Insurance and Tracking

All shipping rates within Canada include full insurance and tracking. Outside Canada, all my shipping rates except Small Packet include full insurance and tracking. Small Packet is the cheapest economy rate - it lacks insurance and tracking options. Please keep this in mind.

 Returns

I'll cheerfully accept returns if I made a significant mistake in the item description. Otherwise, message me and we can discuss it. If you have any problem with your purchased item, please bring it up with me rather than posting negative or neutral feedback. Making you satisfied is the most important thing for me.
