Lenovo ThinkPad X260 12.5" Laptop i5-6300U 2.4GHz 8GB 256GB W10 Backlit *Extras*

This x260 has a problem I was unable to diagnose with the synaptics touchpad. After restart, the touchpad will work for 10 seconds or so and then cease to function. The touchpad, trackpoint, and associated bottoms all dont respond to input. I tried updating the driver, checking bios settings and resetting the computer but im not smart enough to try anything else or attempt to replace the trackpad. I still believe the problem is on the software side of things because after every restart the functionality is great as it should be, until it isnt.

The laptop itself works great, especially with the provided docking station.
