Only user. I purchased it new, sealed in the box a few years ago so it hasn't had much use since its release year. I replaced the original hard drive with a 500GB SSD and replaced the DVD drive with an HDD caddy so it could hold a 1TB HDD for media storage. I replaced the thermal paste as well. The original battery still holds a great charge which I believe is at 93%. The charger with the extension cable are in amazing condition and along with the MacBook are incredibly clean as I am meticulous with keeping the appearance and condition of my computers up. I was able to install and maintain the latest version of macOS using OpenCore Legacy Patcher. It truly is amazing. Prior to doing this I was running Ubuntu flawlessly and incredibly fast and smooth. It is a little slower running Ventura, but I prefer the Apple ecosystem for my current needs. The computer never traveled with me and spent all of its life either on its own spot on my desk or up on a shelf in the closet powered off. I do not have the original box, however.

Now for some of the problems. Prior to installing macOS Ventura, I noticed some discoloration on the plastic hinge cover. You can see this in the images. I determined that the temperature was far too high which is when I decided to replace the thermal paste. There was nothing I could do to restore the color of that plastic that was altered from the heat. Upon installing Ventura, I noticed the heat was still slightly higher than I am comfortable with so I drilled some holes directly above the center of the cooling fan. It pained me to do so, but this allowed for better airflow and kept the computer running much cooler and comfortably usable. These are the only cosmetic issues that it has, everything else is almost like new.
