Hello! Long-time Apple user selling 2021 M1 Macbook Pro 14"-- a great machine, in which Apple redeemed itself for a lot of questionable decisions in the MBP line -- laptop is functionally perfect -- fast, cool & quiet under nearly all circumstances (you really have to push it to even hear the fan) -- with two small cosmetic issues:
1) an inexplicable scrape around the "K" key -- see photos. I have no idea how it happened. The (gorgeous) screen is in perfect condition, so it's not a case of closing the lid too hard or whatever. It's been like this at least two months but hasn't spread so ??
The black keyboard frame or whatever you'd call it is anodized-- underneath it's silver, as you can see.
While this is under warranty until September 5, 2023, Apple can be difficult with what they deem "cosmetic" issues and you can't replace just the keyboard, it has to be whole top case. Depending on one's luck or prior relationship at an Apple store...
2) a teensy nick by botton middle of trackpad -- see photo. Has zero effect on anything except looking at it under bright light.
OTHERWISE-- all is excellent (slight glossing on frequently used keys occurs on ALL current Apple laptops, you can wash your hands 10 times a day, nothing will prevent it), inc bluetooth, wifi, speakers, headphone jack (all used daily).
