Hi,
I am selling my MacBook Pro with M1 processor - base model.
It was my daily laptop and a week ago I decided to erase everything and install a fresh OS. However, after erasing, I couldn't install the OS myself.
I have tried:
1) Regular MacBook recovery screen install
2) Time Backup (an old one I had)
3) Bootable USB
4) Apple store - I was told that the laptop needs to go to main repair facility with the cost of $598 + tax repair. I believe they must have tried to revive it with Apple Configurator. I don't know what they tried before deciding it should go to next level.
I couldn't properly connect it to another host Mac to try reviving myself as I have limited resources. So, this part is a bit unknown.
It's currently booting into the screens I have attached:
1) If you keep pressing the power button until it says "loading startup options".
2) If you press the power button only once, it comes to a screen with an exclamation point and support.apple.com/mac/restore link.
I will logout from my iCloud when it is sold.
It has a one strong dent from left corner where it affects both the case and the corner of the screen. Bottom left corner of the screen has very little noticeable change when the background color on the screen is black (when it is on). But it worked perfect for me for all these years.
Other than that, there a few thin scratches here and there. This is a laptop, carried everywhere around.
No box. Genuine Apple charger is included with extension cord.
The laptop is for sale AS-IS. No returns or refunds will be accepted under any circumstances.
NO RESERVE PRICE!!
Please bid if only you think you can repair it or part it out.
