Apple MacBook Pro 15.4" Retina A1398 - Powers On - AS-IS / Repair *has an issue

-The laptop does power on and appears to function fine, I was able to enter recovery mode and wipe the current data/drive on it. (Drive is 128GB)

-But when I attempt to re-install the OS it will not work and shows the message on screen (see 2nd pic). Attempted multiple times and could not get it work... No further testing done.. There may be other issues.

-Because of the current state I do not know the specs of the CPU or Ram, serial number is included for lookup.

-Laptop itself is in nice physical condition BUT there is a crack on the inner part of the screen hinge (see pic# 6)
