MacBook Retina, 12-inch, 2017 1.2 GHz 8GB RAM 256GB SSD Rose Gold, Mac OS Ventura 13.1, Serial Number C02WM1FHHH27. This computer starts up and works really well. We bought it used and always kept it in a protective case which is included along with a keyboard cover. The case and keyboard cover are well used but still functional.
When you click on the battery icon and look at the battery status in settings it says: Service Recommended.
According to Apple, when “service is recommended” for the battery, “the battery is performing normally but its ability to hold a charge is less than when it was new.” So, in the interest of transparency I did the following tests so a buyer would know what to expect about the battery.
I charged the battery to 100%, closed the lid (didn’t shut down/turn it off) and 24 hours later the battery was at 74%. The next day, I charged the battery to 100%, shut down the computer, and 24 hours later the charge was still 100%.
Based on what you decide to load on to the computer, your results may be different.
