I bought this laptop used January 2020 for a fun project. I cleaned it out as much as possible here are the specs:
Lenovo X230 with Intel i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz
16.0 GB of RAM
240GB SSD in the 2.5" bay
240GB in the mSATA slot
44+ & 44++ battery included. (the 44+ does not hold much of a charge the 44++ I purchased new, see pictures for details on capacity)
Things I did to refurbish the laptop when I purchased this used in Jan 2020:
Cleaned interior
New thermal paste on heat spreader
New CMOS battery
Applied missing rubber feet (one will be included but the sticky part is smeared so will need to glue if needed)
Fixed missing letters in "Lenovo" logo on the lid
Upgraded LCD panel to IPS
Upgraded to 16GB of RAM
The SSD in the 2.5" bay has Windows 10 installed while the mSATA drive has Mint Linux installed. Both have been fresh installs and I will provide an original copy of Windows 8 Pro Disc with serial which works to install Windows 10. The laptop runs well, while I love it, I no longer use it much anymore as it was more for fun and I have another project laptop.
System runs well, upgraded SSD in 2.5" bay and mSATA slot. Screen upgraded to IPS panel. 44+ battery is basically dead but the 44++ battery is still a good battery that can run for a few hours doing basic web browsing. Top case has crack on the center and corners have chips (see picture) does not affect performance. Keyboard is clean and works well.
Everything pictured is included: X230 laptop, AC Charger, USB C cable to charger (requires a 90W+ power adapter to be able to charge the laptop not included), 44+ battery, 44++ battery, extra rubber foot, Windows 8 Pro DVD with valid product key.
