THE BATTERY IS DEAD (Cycle Count = 0). However, this MacBook Pro works perfectly with the included OEM AC power adapter.
Other than the battery issue, it's in EXCELLENT cosmetic and functional condition for a device first produced in late 2013. I am the original owner and it's lived in a protective case for its entire life. Consequently, there are no blemishes or marks anywhere on its chassis. However, there is a slight deformity on the upper left corner of the screen frame that's difficult to notice (5th photo). The 13.3" Retina screen is free of scratches and dead pixels. In addition, the keypad and integrated mouse pad are very clean and working properly (i.e., no dead keys). Full specifications for this computer can be found on the manufacturer's website.
Did I mention that THE BATTERY IS DEAD? Replacement batteries are readily available online for around $50. If you're a DIY-er you can save a lot of money over the $200 fee that Apple charges to replace the battery. If you're not, no worries, tho', because you can always plug it in and use it if there's an outlet nearby. With a CPU speed of only 2.4 GHz, this model is noticeably slow by today's standards, but that's not unexpected for a computer that's almost 10 years old! As long as you aren't calculating the flight paths of UFO's or something like that, this MacBook Pro is still suitable for most applications. The original box and packaging material in very good condition are included in this auction (last 3 photos). This device is loaded with the latest macOS: version 11.7.3 (Big Sur).
Because THE BATTERY IS DEAD, I'm selling this MacBook Pro "for parts or not working", despite the fact that it works with the AC adapter. It is being sold AS-IS. All sales are final and NO RETURNS will be accepted.
