This listing is for a MacBook Pro 8.2 (Late 2011) 15" laptop. It has 8GB memory and runs an Intel quad-core i7-2760QM CPU. It has no hard drive, hard drive caddy, nor the connector to connect the hard drive to the motherboard (and as such, no OS). The screws for the bottom panel are absent. As is, it boots up to the "?" screen as there is no hard drive. Using Linux on a USB stick we booted it up and after a little finagling it appeared to work fine. We do not know if the initial struggle loading Linux was because the machine is not designed to run Ubuntu 22.04 or if there is some other problem so we are selling it as is for parts. The exterior shell has some age appropriate scratches and scuffing and two very small dents. We do not know the condition of the battery. When the power cord unplugged accidentally it stayed on but we have not checked the battery at all. Will ship with a non-OEM power cord we used to test and take the pictures.
