Works great, always been proud of the condition this is in. We are the original owners and have always had a vinyl cover on it and always sleeved it when put in bags. All ports and cd drive works. The screen works brilliantly though there is a very faint 1”x1/4” spot in the middle that is only visible when the screen displays perfect black caused by excess heat from keyboard after closing the laptop. This was a known issue, is barely visible, and is literally the only issue with this laptop.

I upgraded the ram to 16GB as shown and it is so snappy because of it. I removed my SSD and swapped back in the old 500gb HDD that came with it. Also swapped out the old battery for a new one a year ago (no swell as shown in pics) and purchased a new charger as the old cord was falling apart. Apple stopped supported the native OSX Lion licenses years ago so you cannot reinstall OSX lion from the internet but instead need to create a bootable USB to install an OS.
