This MacBook Pro is decent condition but needs a new display. The exterior of the machine is clean and dent free. This laptop will ship with a clean install of macOS Ventura. Besides the display issue described below, this machine has no other known problems.

The display on this machine has recently started experiencing some issues. After the machine has been running for 30 - 60 minutes, horizontal lines begin to appear across the top edge of the display. I attempted to capture this in the included photos. After using the machine for several hours, the display occasionally exhibits ghosting. At that point, I typically have to shut down the machine, let the display board cool off and then everything goes back to normal. I've read that these symptoms are indicative of a problem with the T-CON board which is part of the display assembly.

The machine is very usable with its current display if only used for short periods of time. However, I cannot predict if the display issues will worsen with time. Do not bid on or buy this item unless you are okay with display issues described above and are willing/able to fix the device (or pay someone else to do it).

Replacement displays are available from a variety of sources, including ebay and Amazon. They typically cost under $200. There are a variety of tutorials on iFixit and YouTube that demonstrate how to replace the display.
