2010 Apple MacBook Pro 15" i5 A1286 2.53GHz 4GB 500GB MacOS High Sierra - Mint CONDITION - RARE

I bought this MacBook (new from Apple) with the hope of 'making the switch' from Windows; unfortunately I had too many windows apps that I still required, so it didn't fit my needs.  It’s been on a shelf (non-smoking home) since then.  As such, it's in like new condition.  You'd be hard pressed to even find a blemish or scuff on the aluminum body.   This beauty shows it has only been charged just 11 times!

Testing shows everything works fine except the OEM battery, which no longer holds a charge and has a 'replace' status.   I'm not a Mac expert at all, but believe that many owners will do inexpensive performance upgrades on these units to 16gb of RAM and/or an SSD drive.    It has High Sierra OS on it, which I think is as high as it will go as an out-of-support laptop.  I've read there's some work-arounds to this limitation (perhaps jailbreak or linux distro?).

I've formatted the drive and reinstalled High Sierra so you'll go through the normal setup stuff as if it was new.  I'm sure their are many Mac users out there that will get lots of use and enjoyment out of this rare find.    Includes OEM power adapter.

This unit is HEAVY.  I will consider other shipping, or local pickup, if you have other preferences.
