MacBook Pro 15" A1398 <b>parts</b>. This is a Frankenmac - parts from various. One chassis has a fully functioning logic board with a 256gb drive just loaded with Monterey. The screen is in good shape with a little delamination around the camera area. The battery is getting a little puffy on a couple of lobes and the OS is suggesting service. The track pad works. The camera works (see picture). The keyboard has a number of keys (wertyuiop) that <b>DO NOT Work</b>. Using an external keyboard works fine. <b>The second logic board appears to be dead</b>. I did not reassemble it but all the parts and screws are bagged. I could not test them since the machine did not boot. The keyboard and trackpad also are not tested. They may work or they may not. The battery has been removed from the second chassis and disposed of since it was very swollen. The power supply shown in the pictures comes with it and it works. Basically you get a lot of parts to poke around with and a working logic board and screen. If you have a palm rest assembly with a good keyboard and battery - you can put together a working mid 2015 retina 15" with a 2.8ghz i7 and 16 gb ram. Extra fans, extra cables, etc. This has been a practice machine to disassemble and reassemble. I'm selling strictly as is for parts only but if you like to play around with stuff and you can acquire the missing parts (keyboard and battery) you can build a working machine.
