Up for sale is a used Early 2011 MacBook Pro A1297.

The unit has cosmetic issues with the casing, including dents and scrapes. The bottom cover is slightly misaligned on one side, but still closes. There is a crack near the power button. The screen is great condition, bright and the glass is not cracked. The keyboard and trackpad are also in GREAT shape with minimal wear.

The laptop INCLUDES a working genuine Apple battery (holds a decent charge); however, it is missing the optical disk drive and its caddy.

The 2011 MBP series have an issue with the AMD graphics chip failing. Most people just heatgun or reball this chip, which DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE as the chip itself contains the fault. The only way to solve this is to replace the faulty GPU chip with a working one.

I have replaced the AMD Radeon GPU chip using a BGA Rework Machine in order to give this machine a second chance of life.
