I am selling my MacBook Pro 15.4" Mid-2012 Model No. A1286. It has been upgraded to 16GB of RAM (I am including the original 8GB of RAM that came in the machine as well). It has been well cared for. I am only selling it because I decided to upgrade. It was a higher end model when I bought it and it is still amazingly capable of running graphics, music and other programs that require serious processing power.<div><br></div><div>This model is the 1680 x 1050 higher resolution screen option (very nice for the extra screen real estate it gives you). It came with a 750 GB Hard Drive. In addition, I upgraded the internal storage by removing the original Apple DVD Superdrive and replacing it with a DataDoubler and added an additional 180 GB SSD that I used to run the system software and applications (this made the machine much faster). The original 750 GB Hard Drive could be dedicated to media storage (this is what I did). I am also including the original Superdrive which it came with if you decide you would like to have that inside instead. I am also including two MagSafe power adapters.</div><div><br></div><div>In addition to the upgrades, I changed out the battery about a year ago so it is in excellent shape. I also changed out both ventilation fans less than a month ago as they were noisy.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The computer runs perfectly. It is missing 1 screw on the bottom of the enclosure which worked its way loose over the years, but it presents no issue. The sound from one of the internal speakers is a bit distorted. I use the computer with a set of external speakers, so it has never been an issue for me, but replacement speakers are available (and not particularly expensive) if it is something that bothers you. Overall it is in very nice shape cosmetically with most of the scratches on its base (see photos).</div><div><br></div><div>I have loved this computer and hope it can continue to find good use for someone else.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for bidding!</div>
