Apple MacBook Air 13in (256GB SSD, M1, 8GB) Laptop - Silver - Screen Damage.

I bought this Apple MacBook Air roughly 2 years ago and I have kept it in beautiful condition. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say the cosmetic appearance is probably about an 8 1/2 to a 9. I could not see any dents or major scratches, and other than what I will describe, there is no known damage.

For some reason, there is a vertical line on the right side of the screen, and from what I am told, it is the screen only. I have taken it to Apple and they quoted me about $428 to replace the screen. I decided to buy a new MacBook Air instead and will obviously be selling this one here on eBay.

As you can probably see from the pictures, the laptop is perfectly usable. If you don’t mind dealing with the line on the screen. And while I didn’t hook it up to a monitor, I was told by Apple that the defect involves the screen only, so you would apparently not see it on a monitor. I’m not sure exactly how this happened because it hasn’t been dropped, maybe I set it down too hard on the coffee table. I tried to get Apple to pay for it, but they wouldn’t because it was out of warranty.

So I guess that’s about all I can say, other than the fact that it’s a very nice computer that works perfectly and the only issue that I know about is what you see in terms of the screen. And as mentioned, I am the original buyer, so I know the history of the MacBook Air.

As you might imagine, this is an as is auction with absolutely no warranty, no returns under any circumstances, and no expressed or implied fitness of purpose or merchantability. Included in this auction is the laptop itself, the original box, as shown, and the charger. I am not including the charging cable because it is in bad condition, but it’s a simple USB-C to USB C cable, so you probably have one around the house and if not, it would just be a few dollars to get one on eBay or Amazon.

I will ship this by priority mail or similar, but do bear in mind that it is possible that the damage worsens in transit. However, I have taken all photos within 24 hours of this listing, so it is a fair representation of the how the unit currently looks, and it is an accurate representation of the screen defect. The battery has a 143 cycle count and the condition is shown as normal.

Shipping will be $35 to the lower 48 states, and unfortunately there is no international sales on this auction.
