This is one of the great classic MacBook Pros with an Intel processor which still runs Windows or Linux. It also has upgradable storage which is not possible on newer Macs.

It has 443 battery cycles which is very good for a computer of this era. The retina screen works fine but does have some spots which appear to be scratches on the lamination. The spots are not visible while the screen is on which would indicate that it is just surface damage to the lamination and not any damage to the LCD. I have applied a matte screen protector which covers the lamination flaws well. However the screen is not perfect so you are buying it as is.

Otherwise the computer works fine, connects to the Internet, works on facetime, streams video, and does all productivity tasks just fine. The keyboard, trackpad, backlight, and camera work fine. It is running macOS Monterey.

This would be great for a student who is not picky about screen flaws or who does not need the very latest and fastest . The huge screen is a great benefit for anybody who is working on it a lot.
